The RDP Electronics LIN series LVDT transducer series employ some very special construction techniques in order to achieve the remarkable operating temperature, pressure and high radiation dose which the unit will withstand. In the case of the 600°C version, the LIN position sensor is constructed entirely of metal and high temperature coil formers which use some very special winding wire. The 600°C versions of the LIN LVDT transducer also have a very high radiation tolerance in that they will survive a total integrated dose of 100,000 Mega Rads, leagues ahead of most other types of position sensor. All LIN units have a fully welded construction which enables them to survive at pressures of up to 200bar. LIN displacement transducers are half bridge but will work with most LVDT transducer conditioning if resistive bridge completion is employed.
