In 2000, the Company acquired an advanced 6-inch 0.5μm wafer fabrication facility
located in Sydney, Australia.
Peregrine Semiconductor Australia is a
6-inch wafer facility currently in volume production of 0.25μm and 0.5 μm UltraCMOS™
processes.
In December, 2002, Peregrine announced an alliance with Oki Electric
Industry Co. Ltd. This agreement covers
various aspects from technology licensing to joint product development. As
part of the agreement, Oki will assume the role of second-source foundry to
Peregrine Semiconductor.
