Octave
A frequency interval whose maximum value is twice the minimum value

Octave Band
(See "octave")

OEM
(See "original equipment manufacturer")

Ohm
The unit of electrical resistance. The symbol for the ohm is "W."

Ohm, George Simon
19th century German physicist who discovered the simple linear relationship between voltage and current in most materials.

Ohm's Law
The law that relates voltage and current in a circuit. Ohm's Law is:
I = E/R, where I is current, E is voltage, and R is resistance.

Operating Temperature Range
The specified temperature range over which a circuit or component is designed to operate without damage.

OQPSK
Offset quadrature phase shift key modulation.

Oscillator
A circuit that produces an alternating current signal.

Oxide Passivation
A layer of oxide, usually silicon dioxide either formed from the surface of a semiconductor die or deposited on the surface of a the die using chemical vapor deposition.
