Renesas has a new family of versatile microcontrollers that offer high performance in a small package: H8 Tiny. H8 Tiny provides 16-bit performance at an 8-bit cost. The versatile single-chip microcontrollers (MCUs) in Renesas' H8 Tiny family offer 16-bit performance at 8-bit cost levels. They're simplified, lower-cost evolutions of the popular 16-bit H8/300H MCU family-smaller and with fewer pins to help reduce system size, yet BIG on performance, value, and features, including on-chip flash memory. Their space-saving surface-mount packages (7x7mm or 10x10mm) have low pin counts (48 or 64 pins).
