Spherical Rod-End Bearings for Captive LVDT Transducers |

RDP can offer spherical end bearings for any of our captive type LVDT transducers. The captive transducers have a 'C' at the end of the main part number. Rod-end bearings are designed to ease installation of transducers where there may be some slight misalignment between the transducer mounting points. The bearings are bolted in place through the holes.
Please note that care should be taken when using bearings on transducers mounted horizontally and having a stroke longer than ±100mm (200mm total) . Due to the weight of the LVDT transducer body there is a tendency for the unit to sag, causing error, wear and potentially damage to the transducer. Therefore, units longer than ±100mm should either be used vertically (with the body suspended) or if used horizontally, the body should be supported in two places.
