英国DartSensors甲醛传感器工作原理
传感器内部包含一个常规的两电极燃料电池传感器。工作电极通过外电路将电子释放到计数电极,并且在计数电极端随着氧的减少而消耗,内电路由电解液中的离子流来实现。
设计精良,便于电解液的消长。电解液的消长随环境温度和湿度的变化而变化,但是仍可正常工作不会影响到校准值。

Dart公司的甲醛传感器输出的电流值于空气中从0到高浓度的甲醛浓度呈线性关系。输出信号需要根据精确度要求进行放大和温度补偿。
DartSensors甲醛传感器信号放大
输出信号放大的首选方法是使用一个直接的电流到电压放大的运算放大器。这样的话传感器将工作在其最好的模式下。得到的信号值取决于反馈电阻的大小;比方说使用1000欧姆的电阻值,那么一个输出为5nA的信号将会转化为5mV的输出信号。
因为在开路状态传感器可能会逐渐引起偏移,虽然不会对产品有损伤,但是也要花费时间去放电。所以在储藏期间一般将输出端子进行短路处理,这样就不会出现明显的长期的偏移量。
在使用过程中,为了避免在放大器被断开的时候偏移量的增加,可以在两端子之间连接一个低阻值的电阻(典型值为620欧姆)。另外,也可将放大器持续供电。

在高精度测量中反馈电阻应为470K,同时并联一个4.7μF的钽电容在没有反向响应时间的情况下降噪。
注意:该电路使用的是双路电源,这样能得到最佳效果。在这个电路(以及类似的电路)里面,运算放大器我们推荐使用Burr-Brown的OPA177。另外,也可以选用低功率而且噪声非常微小的OPA241。这两种型号的器件本身的漂移量都很小,灵敏度又非常高,而且很容易加入到偏移整顿电路中去消除剩余的漂移量。
我们已经完成了使用类似OP90这种专用的运算放大器的单路供电电路的研究,并不推荐使用。如果采用3V供电的话,我们推荐使用诸如ICL7660这样的
IC产生的负电源。
DartSensors甲醛传感器温度补偿
如果需要的测量精度很高,那么就需要给电路中加入温度补偿的部分。一般来说,在简单电路里面,我们可以通过在运算放大器的反馈回路中适当的加入一个热敏电阻来实现(该热敏电阻可以通过与其他的电阻的串并联进行修正)。如果使用微处理器电路的话,在软件的控制下,热敏电阻补偿会更加精确。标准的负温度系数热敏电阻提供的信号是比较合适的。
温度依赖性有两个部分:

气体的扩散率随温度的增长而增长。
-
低温下,电解质的功效将会明显削弱,这将成为决定比率的因素。

灵敏度取决于传感器表面的通路孔径的大小;孔径越大,扩散到传感器中的气体就越多,信号也就越强。标准的(最小实际孔径)单一中心孔径的直径为1mm,也可以根据客户的需求进行订制。选择孔径要考虑到能够产生合适的信噪比,但是也要避免气体样品过量,否则会导致输出非线性,反应迟缓以及气体清洗不干净等问题出现。

甲醛传感器主要对挥发的甲醛敏感,但是对于其他的气体或蒸汽也有一定的灵敏度。传感器本身不具有灵敏度的气体或者蒸汽包括:例如甲苯这样的饱和芳烃;丙酮,氨,氮,氧,氯,水蒸气及二氧化碳。

Formaldehyde Sensors

This sensor is available in two versions to suit the requirements
of different markets. The premium version represents the optimum
specification for use where the best performance is required, for
example in scientific instrumentation or safety critical
applications. The economy is a pared-down variant, offering adequate
performance where low cost is of greater importance than absolute
precision. If in doubt, Dart Sensors recommends starting your
development process with the premium version.
We offer a calibration service for our formaldehyde sensors using
our state of the art laboratory. Currently this costs £15 per sensor
- if you would like this service added to your order, please note it
in the "additional info" box on the quotation form.
Technical Information
Liquid Standards
Our standards are used to maintain and audit evidential breath
alcohol equipment in the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic.
The standards require a suitable breath alcohol simulator - we
recommend the
Guth Model 2100.
Liquid standards are supplied with analyses traceable to UKAS
national primary standards (analysed by LGC Limited).
Certified liquid standards have a shelf life of 2 years from the
date of analysis, and their caps are fitted with security seals. The
values we make on a regular basis are 35, 50, 140 and 200
microgram/100 ml air. For current stock levels, refer to the table
below. Liquid standards can be delivered by road transport
worldwide, however the shipping cost can quickly become prohibitive.
If you do not require certified standards, please consider our
Dry Alcohol
Standards which are suitable for air freight.
Liquid standard batches are made to order, with the cost of
certifying them spread across the batch. The price per bottle is
around £25, depending on the batch size.

Dry Alcohol Standards
Conventional liquid calibration standards for breath analysers
are more than 99% water. For customers further afield where the
total weight of a shipment would be excessive, we have developed an
'instant' version to which 500 ml of water is added to generate the
calibration standard. Please note that Dry Alcohol Standards require
a suitable breath alcohol simulator such as the
Guth Model
2100 in order to be used correctly.
DAS can be supplied to any value up to 70 micrograms ethanol per
100 ml air, have a recommended shelf life of 1 year, and their lids
are fitted with a security seal. They cannot be supplied certified.
They are suitable for up to 10 uses in a single simulator.
These have a minimum order quantity of
10 (per concentration required).

These circuit boards are intended to assist your development
program, providing you with a convenient amplified output from our
sensors. They provide output of up to 3.75V with a 9V supply (not
included).
The sensor and power connections receive
Molex crimp housing 50-37-5023 - a 9V battery connector with
this housing is supplied with the board, and we will include a
suitable quantity of connector leads with housings if sensors are
ordered at the same time as the board.

We can supply a wide range of sizes and shapes of fuel cell wafers
for incorporation into a sensor of a customer's design. The sizes
and shapes available are listed below. Please note that the actual
size of the wafers is slightly less than the stated value. If a
specific formulation and/or size is not listed below, please go to
the
quote request form and enter your requirements in the box
provided.
Other sizes can be made available on request.
There are five options of electrolyte available.
- Types 1, 2 and 3 may be suitable for interlocks, we would
supply these for the customer to try out on their particular
application to determine which is best.
- Type 4 is for a "normal" temperature range, i.e. where the
sensor might intermittently be exposed to a maximum of 50°C, and
the results should be obtained through integration of the output
signal.
- Type 5 is suitable for low humidity environments, with the
result being obtained again through integration.
- Type 5 can be used up to 65°C if the result is obtained
through peak measurement.
There is a minimum order quantity of 1,000 (and
minimum annual purchase of 10,000) unless you are buying for
development purposes.
We supply wafers for customer assembly
into their own housings for use in their own products only. No
licence is given to resell sensors containing our wafers and any
attempt to do so may result in termination of supply.
