The XE8000 Microcontroller Family
The XE8000 is a family of microcontrollers (MCU) characterized by their very low power requirements. These MCUs are perfectly adapted to manage systems working on batteries or remotely powered ones.
The family is based on 3 products: the XE88LCO3 (formerly known as the XE8301), and the XE88LC01/XE88LCO5, (formerly known as the XE8801 and XE8851). The XE88LCO3 is a low voltage general purpose microcontroller, that works down to 1.2 V. The XE88LC01 and XE88LCO5 have additional signal acquisition capabilities with its programmable analog input channel. They can work down to 2.4 V. Further variations of these products propose specific outputs like LCD drivers or buffered DACs.
The XE8000 is conceived as an evolutionary family of the MCU, one that can address many applications. Since applications can not always be covered by such a product line, XEMICS offers a service of full custom ASICs based on the XE8000, including additional peripherals on request. The intellectual property that the XE8000 relies on, as well as the low power digital libraries are together available from XEMICS.

XE88LCO3 - General ULP Purpose Microcontroller.
CoolRISC® 8-bit based CMOS microcontroller, available in MTP/Flash or masked-ROM version. 8K instructions, 512 bytes RAM, embedded 8x8 hardware multiplier, X-tal and RC oscillator, UART, timers with PWM/capture/compare, less than 200 uA @ 1 MHz, less than 100 nA, sleep mode, low-voltage down to 1.2 V (masked-ROM version).
XE88LC01 - ULP Microcontroller for sensing applications. CoolRISC® 8-bit based CMOS microcontroller, available in MTP/Flash or masked-ROM version. Versatile low-power 5 to 16 bits ADC (200 礎 for 12 bits at 2 kHz), low noise high gain PGA, sensor offset compensation (?10 FS), fully differential acquisition path.
XE88LCO5 - ULP Microcontroller for sensing applications.
CoolRISC® 8-bit based CMOS microcontroller, available in MTP/Flash or masked-ROM version. Versatile low-power 5 to 16 bits ADC (200 礎 for 12 bits at 2 kHz), low noise high gain PGA, voltage or current output DACs (12 bits @ 4 kHz).

CoolRIDE - (CoolRISC Integrated Development Environment)
The CoolRIDE® (CoolRISC Integrated Development Environment offers a complete set of tools, (assembler, C compiler, linker, source-level debugger, etc.), based on GNU tools. This integrated development environment also encapsulates all functionality for driving the command-line tools and provides a very intuitive and easy-to-use interface for software developers.
The source level debugger and CoolRIDE?can directly target the built-in instruction simulator or the external CoolRISC® emulator board using the same interface.
