Conversion Compression Point
(of a Mixer)

The RF input power level (in dBm) at which the IF output power is compressed by the stated number of decibels, at a stated LO input power level. For example, the 1 dB conversion compression point is the RF input power level (in dBm) at which the IF output power will increase only 9 dB for a 10 dB increase in RF input power. Conversion compression point provides an indication of the two-tone intermodulation performance of a mixer, and is usually of most concern in high level mixing applications.
