Most military systems require the use of product that has been through stringent testing to ensure long life and reliable performance: so-called Hi-Rel screened products. Devices that go into environments that are not easily accessible for repair (satellites, underwater relays) also often require the use of Hi-Rel screened parts. While the HP CSSD product offering does not include screened versions of our products, the ceramic and gold/metal/hermetic packages we use are compatible with high rel screening available through outside contract services.
