Today at Smart Card '99, Philips Semiconductors launched an appeal for contributors to its MIFARE^® Book of Partners, a reference book which lists the companies working with MIFARE^®, the industrial standard for contactless smart cards. Contributions are welcomed from reader and terminal manufacturers, as well as machine suppliers, system integrators, service providers and consultants. The first edition of the new reference book will be available in Summer 99, with an on-line version planned later in the year.

The MIFARE^® Book of Partners supports the opening of MIFARE^® Technology to the market in February last year and aims to extend the broad network of MIFARE^® partners by providing interested companies with a list of contacts for MIFARE^® manufacturing equipment, products, applications or schemes. Contributions are welcome from companies working in any of these areas.
